CL police backs up Anti-Terror Bill of 2020

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga- PRO3 Regional Director, PBGEN RHODEL O SERMONIA said that the Central Luzon police force strongly supports the passing of the Anti-Terror Bill of 2020.

PBGEN SERMONIA explained that being police officers who are movers for peace and development, the PNP particularly in Region 3 is actively supporting laws that advances the interest of the Filipino people against all forms of criminality, illegal drugs, and terrorism. " We recognize the important role of every member of the society in nation-building and national security; thus, we always solicit support from partner local government officials, instrumentalities of the government and even private institutions to unite against all forms of deception and disinformation by the communist front organizations against the passage of anti-terrorism bill," PBGEN SERMONIA also said.

Relatedly, the top cop emphasized that all PRO3 engagements, both with LGUs and private sectors are founded on mutual respect and never on coercion.

" The memorandum which is now under scrutiny covers all local government units as they are also part of the government. All working under the government are aware that it is the duty of both the national and local governments to protect the citizenry from threats of terrorism. And terrorism is real. We belie the statement of BAYAN MUNA that our efforts to promote people's understanding of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020 is unlawful. In fact, there claim of coercion is unfounded, much more a product of their delusion fueled by their desperate propaganda machination to cloak their deception – their link with their mother terrorist organization, the CPP NPA NDF, which, should it be exposed thoroughly, will result in their isolation and irrelevance in the Filipino society," PBGEN SERMONIA added.
