Camp Julian Olivas Pampanga-Policemen in Pampanga have arrested Thursday night the province's number one most wanted person in Porac town, said Region 3 police director, Police Brigadier General Rhodel O Sermonia. Sermonia identified the arrested as Daryll Dela Cruz, 32, of Tocwing, Porac, Pampanga.
He added that the arrest of Dela Cruz is part of the reinvigorated drive of the PNP in Region 3 to account for most wanted persons especially those who are involved in illegal drugs operations and other high profile crimes. Reports said that operatives from the Provincial Intelligence Branch of Pampanga police have arrested Dela Cruz around 9:30 in the evening of November 7, at Jose Lapid District Hospital, Sacan, Porac town.
Dela Cruz was arrested by virtue of warrant issued by Third Judicial Region of Angeles City for murder and violation of the anti-illegal drug law. Sermonia said that Dela Cruz was the prime suspect in the killing of Larry Tolentino, a construction worker way back in 2008.
Central Luzon police cops have arrested a total of twenty-four (24) wanted persons over the week wherein seven (7) where arrested in Bulacan; four (4) in Nueva Ecija; four (4) in Pampanga; three (3) in Bataan; three (3) in Zambales; and, one (1) each in Aurora, Tarlac and Angeles City.
