Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga -- Region 3 Police Director, Police Brigadier Rhodel O Sermonia said that as the revitalized anti-illegal drug campaign of the PNP continues amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, a notorious drug peddler was arrested and suspected shabu were seized by authorities last Thursday in Apalit,Pampanga.
PBGEN SERMONIA identified the suspect who were arrested by operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit in a buy-bust operation as Marlon Morales y Cruz, resident of Brgy. Dulong Malabon, Pulilan, Bulacan while his cohort Dexter Manalad @TENG, resident of Brgy. Dulong Malabon, Pulilan, Bulacan managed to elude arrest.
Seized from the actual possession of Morales were Three (3) pieces of medium size heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance of suspected “shabu”; One (1) piece of Php 1000 bill; Forty Four (44) pieces Php 1000 bills boodle money and One (1) unit SAMSUNG keypad Cellphone.
He further stated that Morales is now facing charges for violation of Sec 5 and 11 of RA 9165.
The top cop of Central Luzon also said that continues aggressive campaign against illegal drugs is being carried out despite relentless efforts on the prevention of COVID 19 is being undertaken and several programs to help the less fortunate affected by COVID-19 is being conducted.
